A Couple of the Locals

Where we live we like to call our Urban Oasis. We live in ‘Downtown’ Duncan tucked away behind some commercial buildings in a cosy house. For being tucked away we have all sorts of amusement in our little oasis. Here are some photographs of a couple of the locals.

I was watching the racoon when the neighbourhood kitten came through the fence.

Racoon checks me out and is oblivious to the cat

Kitten watches for a bit

Thinks about getting a little closer than takes off

Racoon was oblivious to the cat the whole time. When the racoon went back through the fence the kitten followed.

Inner Beauty

Experience the inner beauty of the flower.

This Lily’s sprout is just starting to peek out. I can’t wait to enjoy it again

Bell of the Ball

The beginning

Not sure why but I see chickens in the pansies

Inner Beauty lit from within

Inner circle

I can’t wait for another season of flowers and the quest for inner beauty begins anew

Welcome Spring

One thing I look forward to every spring is the warmer weather. With the warmer weather and sun comes the opportunity to fully open our front windows. And start to enjoy the deck.

Though I will admit on a sunny winter day I do sit out on the deck with all my winter gear on to get some Vitamin D and contemplate under the tree.

in the winter months I can see sky through the tree but soon the leaves will fill  in and my view will change, can’t wait! Bring on Summer.

Some Of My Favourite Things

There used to be a time when you could afford to go to a concert and buy the tour shirt. Well for me those days are long gone. Can barely afford the price of a concert ticket let alone buy a t-shirt. So what do you do when your 20 year old concert t-shirt is no longer wearable? Holes in the arm pits and such. Well you make pillow cases!

Keeps the memories alive and pillows are always useful.

Best idea I ever had!

Spring Surprises

There is nothing more lovely then walking your garden in the morning and finding new flowers coming to life

This one looks like it has it’s mouth open, yum yum sun
